THEATRE INFORMATION
Coat check
Available at all shows at The St James Theatre ($1 per item). The coat- check is located in the ground floor foyer beside the confectionary counter.
Due to lack of space, there is no coat check at The Opera House.
Mobile Phones/Photography
Mobile phones, etc must be switched off before entering the auditorium. The use of cameras or videos is not permitted.
Running Times of Shows
The length of a show is not usually known until it arrives in Wellington. Up-to-date information can usually be found on the website page of the show.
Bells and Lockouts
The continuous ringing of the theatre bells indicates that the show will commence in 2 minutes. You are advised to take your seats immediately as many shows operate a lock-out policy which can sometimes last the whole of the first act.
Theatre Policy
Children and those in need of special care are the responsibility of their parents, guardians, teachers or carers. The Theatre reserves the right to ask anyone causing a disturbance to performers, other patrons or staff to leave the theatre. There is a Duty Manager at all performances who will be happy to help with problems.
Babies & Children
All children in the auditorium must be in possession of a ticket for a seat. The Theatre strongly advises that children under three are too young to attend the majority of our performances.
We reserve the right to refuse entry to unaccompanied children under the age of 14.
Children's Seats
Children's booster seats are available for use in the Stalls at The St James Theatre. Please see one of our ushers on arrival. These seats are not available at The Opera House.
Disabled access
There are a number of specially allocated wheelchair spaces in the Stalls (ground level) in both theatres. Please advise Ticketek when buying your tickets. Disabled toilets are available in the ground floor foyers of both theatres.

A hearing loop is installed in The St James' Stalls only. There is no hearing loop at The Opera House.
Wheelchairs
A wheelchair is available for patron use at either theatre. See one of our ushers on arrival.
